Phil and Lindy Le May have shared a love of art and antiques since they met in 1980, Phil has been an art dealer for many years dealing through the large auction houses and Lindy trained as a fashion designer and has had shops in Brighton since the 1970's. Their last shop on the mainland was dedicated to interiors mixing the antique with the contemporary. For many years they wanted to move to the Island and finally did so in 2004.

"We have had such fun setting up The Old Studio. Going around the country meeting artists and makers, especially young people making their first entry into the art arena, has given us such pleasure. Obviously the work is important but the human side to this business, both artist and customer, is paramount to us so that we can all share our enthusiasms."
