Welcome to The Old Studio...
The Old Studio - The only gallery on the 'Back of the Wight' - situated in Ventnor, a Victorian seaside town of steep terraces populated by artists, sculptors, potters, glass makers, authors, poets, musicians and, of course, crab and lobster fisherman. The building was built in 1860 and became a photographers studio in 1890. We have restored the shop and studio to showcase an exciting collection of contemporary art, craft, and design led objects sourced locally and from the mainland. The atmosphere is light hearted and you can choose at your leisure between a large painting inspired by the waves or fine silver jewellery and anywhere in-between...
